With the end of 3rd quarter right around the corner, please be sure to talk to your child about their grades.  The quarter will end on March 30th, so students need to have all of their work turned in by that time.  We will send out report cards the week of April 10th, as spring break will be April 3-7, 2017.  We will also be holding parent and student meetings the week of April 10th, for those students that had any failing classes for 3rd quarter.  Please remember that the last day to purchase a yearbook for your child will be March 30th



SUMMER JOBS – Youth Conservation Corps US Forest Service Trail Maintenance Crew – 8 weeks/$7.25 hour.  You must be between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.  There are positions available in Sandpoint and Priest Lake Applications are available at the Sandpoint and Priest Lake Ranger Stations or online at  All applications must be turned in by April 14, 2017 at either Priest Lake or Sandpoint Ranger Stations. 



Graduation Announcements and Accessories will be delivered Thursday, March 30th During both Lunches (11:06-12:41) —in the Library Lab Room—(PRLHS) If you owe a balance on your order please remit the amount due to Grad Services NW in advance of distribution date. A postcard was mailed to your home if you owe a balance on your order with payment instructions. Orders paid in full will be distributed on delivery date. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  If you would like your transcripts sent to a college or your SAT or ACT scores sent to a college, you MUST fill out a form in the counseling center.  Information will not be sent without a transcript request form on file. – Thank you.

Elementary Band Concert will be Tuesday, 3/21/17 at 7 p.m. in the PRJH Auditorium.

Site Council Meeting is Thursday, 3/23/17 at 7:15 a.m. in the Library.

In the next few weeks our 3rd through 6th graders will be taking the district math and writing assessments. Please encourage your children to do their best. These assessments will help us see what our students have learned.

The Penny Drive Field Trip to Newport Hospital is coming up on 3/29 for 1st & 3rd grade.

March Character Focus is Diligence; always doing your best no matter how hard, persistence.

After School Club has two weeks left - Monday & Wednesday through March 29th. See your classroom teacher for more details.

Keep reading 20 minutes a day. Turn in your reading slips signed by parent/guardian each week. This quarters award is a carnival theme on March 30th.

Remember to dress warm and in layers. It’s cold outside in the mornings. Always plan to have outside recess.
