21st Century Community Learning Center

The week of 9-29 through 10-2 will have the following offerings for the 21st CCLC before  school program Mornings 7:15 AM until 7:45 AM  on Monday 9-29-14  AM  -- Science, English, Math or Weight room  9-30-14  Tuesday Am --no activities,  10-1-14  Wednesday AM  -- Science, English, Math or Weight room or Yoga, 10-2-14  Thursday AM  --  Science, English, Math or Weight room,  Yoga or YO-YO club 10-3-14 Friday  AM --  Science, English, Math or Weight room

After school activities  from 2:45 until 4:55 PM  include Language Arts, Science, & Math labs , Drama: Scripted acting, Art, Sewing and quilts, Martial Arts, Sources of Strength, Book Club, Haunted House, Basic Mechanics, World of Words: creative writing, Jewelry making, Drama: Improvisation, Tactical Arts: Gaming club, Grief support, Career Center, Yoga, ACADECA, Dance lessons.  Go to 21st CCLC link on the district web site under "Counseling,” to find the calendar.

Send in Your Nominations for Idaho Teacher of The Year

The Idaho Teacher of the Year Program, which began in 1959, is one of the most prestigious honors in the state for teachers. The program focuses public attention on excellence in teaching that has a real impact on the students of Idaho.

The Idaho Teacher of the Year is chosen from among the districts' nominees by a selection committee representing the state education leaders and lawmakers. Each school district and charter school may nominate one teacher.

The Idaho Teacher of the Year also becomes a nominee for the National Teacher of the Year, a project of the Council of Chief State School Officers sponsored by Scholastic Inc.
