February 2nd is our Candy Sale kick-off. The candy sale will run through Feb. 15th. All orders are due back to the school at that time. Thank you for supporting this important fundraiser for our school!
Our first semester Awards assembly is February 11th. We’ll be celebrating academic achievement, most improved, citizenship, and students who have had perfect attendance for the semester. Way to go, everyone!
There will be no school February 12th or 15th. We’ll be having a teacher inservice day Feb. 12th, and will have no school in honor of Presidents’ Day on the 15th.
Happy end of semester! Here we are halfway through the 2015-2016 school year, and at the beginning of February.
With it being the end of the semester, students will not have school tomorrow, January 29, 2016, as it is a teacher work day. Teachers will use the time to finalize their grades for the semester.
As the grades are finalized, I will be looking closely at them to see if students are failing any of their classes. If your child is failing, then you should plan on being contacted in order to schedule a time to meet to discuss what route we need to take in order to help them be successful.
Academic success of all students is something that we take very seriously at PRJH. We have two years to prepare students for high school and beyond. In that amount of time, if we see that a student is struggling, we will work very closely with not only the student, but with the parent and teachers as well.
If your child has started on a path that will not lead them to success, then we will work as a team to help them change that path. The team will include the child, the parents, the counselor, the teachers, the principal, and anyone else that might be needed.
Please do not hesitate to contact either myself, or Ms. Bridges if you are at all concerned about your child’s progress in school. Also, please remember that we are offering after school tutoring every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 4:00 p.m.
Thank you for all that you do to support your child and their education. Your involvement is greatly appreciated!
