STUDENTS:

You are invited to participate in an Hour of Code and be part of the largest learning event in history.  The Hour of Code is a one hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.  We’ll be coding with and without computers; learning about what’s inside a computer and how to tune them up when they start running slowly; and exploring college programs and careers in computer science.  Join us at Newport High School on Wednesday, December 7th from 6-7:30 p.m.

 

Mark your calendars!  December 15th is the Priest River Lamanna High School Christmas Fundraiser Concert, Dinner and Silent auction.  The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. Ticket pre-sales at PRLHS are $10 each or $20 for a family.  Tickets will be available at the door for $12 each or $25 for a family.

 

If you are interested in the CCLC afterschool program please see Mrs. Coldwell.  There are many opportunities available.  If transportation is an issue please let her know as transportation can be provided.  A bus to Priest Lake is available!  Please see Mrs. Coldwell today. 

 

Tickets are on sale for Sadie Hawkins 2016: Yule Ball during 1st and 2nd lunch. Tickets are $25 for singles and $45 for couples. Prices go up at the door. December 17 @ the Beardmore Building Downtown. Keepsakes for the first 50 couples.

 

SENIORS:

Seniors – Order your graduation announcements, accessories, cap & gown unit at school on Thursday, December 15th during lunches in the Library Conference Room.  All product items will be on display on order date.  Please take your order packet home and complete the order form with your parents.  Please bring your completed student order form and payment with you on order date.  Full payment is requested, however, a $100 deposit is acceptable.  If you have questions, please ask on order date, contact your Grad Services NW representative, or visit our website at www.gradservicesnw.com.

Thank you PTO for a wonderful “Finding Dory” Movie Night!

Idaho Hill Students will be attending a special performance of Anne Jr. at PRJH on 12/1.

PTO is sponsoring a Penny Drive to support Newport Hospital Foundation Healthy Snack Bag Program. All funds raised will be donated to the foundation. The class that raises the most money will get a field trip to Newport Hospital.

It is getting colder. Please dress appropriately for outside recess.  If you need help with providing winter attire, please contact the office.

Keep reading! Our school wide goal is for every student to read 15-20 minutes daily. Remember to return your reading challenge forms each week.

November character focus is “Citizenship”.  Positively contributing to society and community as well as dutifully respecting authority and the law.
