November 12, 2020

Dear families and community,

As of Thursday November 12th, Bonner County will be moved to the Red category of community transmission by Panhandle Health District (PHD). This indicates substantial community spread in Bonner County and is determined by the number of cases weekly, positivity rate, and hospital capacity. This action will put us into Category 3 of our district reopening plan.

As a part of Category 3, there will be no secondary students (Grades 7-12) on Friday, November 13th, so we can be prepared for the start of hybrid learning. Elementary school students (Grades preK-6) will attend school as normal. Starting on Monday, secondary students (Grades 7-12) will be on either an A (Monday and Tuesday) or B (Wednesday and Thursday) schedule, where they attend in person 2 days a week and remote learning 3 days per week. If you are unsure which days your student will attend, please contact your school. Elementary students (preK-6) will attend school as normal.

We understand the inconvenience this puts on our families and will continue to assess the situation to get our students back in the classroom full time as quickly as possible. We appreciate your continued support as we work through this pandemic together.
